  54. WELCOME TO THE IPE FIRST EDITION OF EVALUATION SOFTWARE ON CD-ROM

  57. This is the first CD edition of Evaluation Software from IPE. The CD
  58. contains FULL copies of IPE and McAfee software and information about
  59. products published by IPE. If you like them, contact your local dealer
  60. or get in touch with IPE for the address of your nearest stockist or
  61. Value Added Reseller.

  63. We intend to issue CD's at regular intervals with product updates, news
  64. and views, success stories, comments, hints, tips - indeed, whatever you
  65. would like us to include. Please keep the ideas rolling in.

  75. From DOS, attach to the CD-ROM drive letter and type IPE at the prompt.
  76.  
  77. From Windows, select the FILE button and then RUN. Use the drive letter
  78. of your CD-ROM and the command IPE.
  79.

  82. Where 'X' is your own CD drive letter. You will be guided through a
  83. fully automated Product Information and Install program. The program was
  84. entirely written in DCL (Desktop Control Language), a powerful
  85. application programming product which comes with NetTools.

  123. 1.    Many of the above have a subdirectory of DISK1 or (possibly) DISK2,
  124.         these are needed for correct installation by the installer
  125.         program. The program and text documentation files will be found
  126.         therein. Note the comment on NetTools 5.1 custom install above.

  128. 2.    The 'Other Products' option provides access to text files
  129.         describing products published or distributed by IPE.

  131. 3.    The 'Other Information' option provides access to text files on
  132.         a number of different subjects - this file is just one of them.
  133.         Please take time to read through them, or print them from within
  134.         the editor called up from the IPE program.
  135.  
  136. 4.    The 'Presentation' option - two PowerPoint slide sets.
  137.     Describing the features and benefits of the McAfee 'Range' of
  138.     Network Management tools and other IPE products. They are large
  139.     and so may take some time to load - please be patient!

  141. 5.    All the manuals are available in Microsoft Word 6 format. See
  142.     the "MANUALS.TXT" file in the "MISC" directory and the directory
  143.     "MANUALS".

  145. 6.    Look at the directory "MISC" for a selection of miscellaneous
  146.     utility programs, including PKZIP etc (in self-extracting file
  147.     PKZ204G.EXE), VALIDATE and CONVERT (in subdirectory "CONVERT").
